Hotel St. Peter, Zürich

The theme of a garden – inspired by the the inner courtyard – appears in the entire hotel St. Peter. In the lobby a backlit wall with plant themes compensates the lack of natural light. The coarse exposed aggregate concrete facade from the courtyard that was cited at the Front Desk. In the corridors, wallpaper with leaf themes designed exclusively for this project makes one think of a garden, here graphics merge with botany; colors are inspired by the hotel's CI. The design worlds of the 1980s - reinterpreted with a twist - can be found everywhere in the hotel, for instance in the diagonally embroidered wall coverings of the seating niches, exclusively designed by Andrin Schweizer and produced by a traditional manufacture in Switzerland.
