Competition Swiss First Class Lounge Zurich Airport
Home port for luxury travelers at Zurich Airport
The new Swiss First-Class Lounge at Zurich Airport is designed to let first-class guests' luxurious journeys begin on the ground. Together with G&A Architects from Altdorf, Andrin Schweizer and his team - who have been experts in interior design for the premium hospitality industry for years - developed a design for an exquisite world of experience. The interior design of the high-quality lounge was inspired by the airline's CI and plays with shapes and materials that clearly stand for Swissness. These include lots of local wood, the finest leather, hand-blown glass, regional natural stone and fine fabrics. The color scheme picks up on tones from the Swiss color scheme, including rust and petrol.
A luxurious journey begins
The lounge impresses with its wide range of gastronomic offerings. A particular highlight is the cheese humidor, where luxury travelers can sample various fine cheeses from all over Switzerland. A kitchen with front cooking prepares exquisite cuisine throughout the day. The impressive range of wines, champagnes and spirits is presented to guests in glass cabinets.
The overall result is a timelessly elegant yet minimalist design that echoes the look of Swiss's new First Class cabins. The design of the lounge creates an exclusive atmosphere that radiates calm, elegance and security - a place where pure luxury is visible in every detail, no matter how small.
