Andrin Schweizer was born in 1970 and grew up in St.Gallen, Switzerland.

In 1996 he completed his architectural studies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and shortly after launched his own architectural studio. His first and very influential client was the artist Pipilotti Rist, at that time art director of the Swiss National Exhibition Expo.02. It was for her team that Andrin Schweizer developed creative concepts for different exhibition pavilions.

Since then he has designed and successfully completed numerous projects together with his team. He remodelled the ancient Hotel Grimsel Hospiz deep in the Swiss Alps, designed Kuoni’s flagshipstore in Zurich, built a visitor center for worldwide known producer of coffee machines Jura and two five star safari camps in Kenya and Tanzania.

His great passion is the designing of rich and harmonious interiors. It is with great enthusiasm and eagerness that he embraces every new project, aiming to develop an appropriate architectural language. This being one of the reasons why his work is so diverse.

With his work for a successful renovation show on Swiss National TV – now in its 13th season – Andrin Schweizer is well known by a broad audience in Switzerland.
